A little bit about me… Melanie Wymer

Over the last few decades friends and work colleagues have often asked me for advice on what tech they need in order to do what they particularly want to do.

I’ve been marched around computer shops to help people shop, I’m invited to supper and realise I’m singing for my supper by “whilst I’m stirring this can you just…..” And it’s usually “just sort out my printer…” “Just explain how on earth I do vlookups in excel…” “just help me link my smart heating controls so I can ask Alexa to turn the heating on…” etc.

Everyone has their own unique gift and mine appears to be as an “IT interpreter”.

In addition to this, I also help people to become more productive; organising their lives by organising their time, prioritising their tasks and helping them find the “why” in what they are doing to help give them their reason for doing, or their purpose. I don’t use fancy jargons or quote theorists, I just help and it just works. Sometimes, I don’t even use tech to help them – there is still good value in old-fashioned pen and paper based methods.

In essence, I am a problem solver; I hear what someone wants to achieve, I clarify their goal, give them the necessary tools, help them to stop procrastinating and set them on the path towards solving their problem (if they have one) or completing their tasks. On the rare occasion when the technical task has been beyond them, I have even been known to just do it for them!

So here I am, ready to help. Just get in touch and together we’ll nail it.

Melanie Wymer lives in Anglesey, North Wales. She has three children, is chief taxi driver, cleaner, bottle washer, dog walker, reptile and poultry manager, with a husband who works away a lot – hence the need to be self sufficient and organised. She draws the line at gardening though.
